Back in the saddle, possibly.

Hey everyone, there haven't been any posts here in forever. I just wanted to stop by and say I do have one new post scheduled to come out, and that while I might start posting again regularly, don't hold your breath.

Just a heads up.

A new post, about Community.

Ah, a new post, for a new age! SUMMER HATH ARRIVED! And what perfect timing, for me to finally catch up on Community season 5, possibly the best season yet, a true landmark in television history.

Except, you know, Community got cancelled again.

Let It Go vs. Everything Is Awesome - BulbSaur: Games and Stuff

So yeah...this happened.

Two of the best animated movies I've seen recently are Frozen and The Lego Movie. After Planes, Smurfs 2, and Monsters University (which I don't like nearly as much as I originally did), it's nice to see actual high-quality animated movies. In terms of The Lego Movie, when I first saw the trailer, I thought it would be decent, though not much more. However, it turned out to be one of my favorite animated movies of all time. And, of course, Frozen is just about everywhere, so I don't think I need to explain it. Frozen in particular stuck with audiences for its great animation, self-satirizing (to an extent), and its wonderful soundtrack, the latter of which will be the focus of this blog post. Two songs that I've had stuck in my head for the last, I dunno, FIVE MONTHS are Frozen's "Let It Go," and The Lego Movie's "Everything is Awesome." At least they're not terrible songs to have play in your mind, but it sort of fascinates me how both of these songs, particularly "Let It Go" have stuck with viewers debatably more than the movies they came from (probably because their popularity spread like cancer). So, to settle my internal conflict over which song I want to play on, here is "Let It Go" vs "Everything is Awesome!"

It's time to vote one ear-worm off the island.
Take the jump to continue!
